Hello! It’s been a long time since I have made a post! Almost a year to be exact! I got a new job and have been working alot and haven’t had time to post. I made an Easter wreath for Easter and posted a picture on Facebook and everyone loved it so I am gonna tell you how I made it. I found a tutorial on pinterest but I added my own flare. You might want to do this wreath outside or somewhere where you can clean up easy because it’s gonna get messy! The boas shed really bad when your wrapping. Let’s get started.
Supplies You’ll Need:
- 12 Inch Straw Frame (Keep the wrap on)
- 3 White Feather Boas
- Rabbit Ear Headband
- 15 – 20 Plastic Eggs
- Hot Glue Gun
- White Pipe Cleaners
- Ribbon to hang wreath
Do not take wrapper off wreath. The straw will make a huge mess. Foam wreath probably would have been better but the foam wreath was not as thick as I wanted it and the straw wreath had the thickness I wanted for the wreath. I started out by hot gluing the Rabbit Ears Headband to the wreath. The headband was not cooperating and not sticking to the wreath with the hot glue so I decided to use white pipe cleaners to secure the headband.
Take one end of the feather boa and starting at the top around the ear glue one end of the feather boa to the wreath. Wrap the feather boa around wreath until you run out and start again with another one. Glue the second and wrap again. Do the third one the same way. You should finish at the top. Don’t glue the whole boa to wreath! You will need to be able to move the boas around while you place eggs. Make sure to cover up the headband on wreath.
Finished Boa around wreath.
Lay the eggs down on the wreath where you’d like to place them. Once you’ve decided where you’d like them to go start hot gluing the eggs to the wreath not the boas!
Hot glue the ribbon to back of wreath for hanging. My ribbon didn’t want to stay so I’m still looking for other ways to hang it. Also I trimmed some of the boa so it wouldn’t stick out in places I didn’t want it to stick out from and cut some of the middle so you could tell there was a hole in the middle. I also cut away close to some of the eggs so you could see them better.
